Given the difficult living conditions that exist in Haiti coupled with the recent insecurities across the country, we're thrilled to share heartwarming stories that will inspire you to continue to pray and support the work of HCM. Your partnership is such a major part of the positive impact happening in the areas where we serve. As Philippians 4:4 reminds us, we should “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again – rejoice!”
Over 40 pastors recently converged for a transformative training themed "How to Lead in Tough Times." The challenges that these leaders face are vast, yet their determination to uplift their communities shines brightly. Pastor trainings were conducted in smaller groups to avoid risky travel routes for some, while those who could not travel participated via Zoom. Your financial contributions provide resources and tools that equip pastors to guide their congregations with strength, empathy, and unwavering faith. Let's stand beside these leaders and be a beacon of light in their journey.
22 participants in our Play It Forward sports ministry embarked on a journey of empowerment through a training program called, "Ready Set Go". Some of our leaders had the opportunity to participate in this program and gain valuable knowledge in leadership and in making disciplined disciples of Christ. We are so thankful for all who participated and contributed to the success of this event.
Over 1,000 teenagers from diverse communities came together to learn and grow in our second annual HCM Summer Teen Retreat. This year's theme encompassed the value of starting and operating a small business, understanding the value of trades, and boosting self-esteem. Your generosity ignited sparks of inspiration in these young hearts. By contributing, you're not only supporting the retreat but also planting the seeds of confidence, ambition, and self-worth in these bright minds. Check out the recap video below!
In the village of Thoman, something truly remarkable happened during this year’s Teen Retreat. Students and parents flocked to the retreat once they caught wind of the enriching topics. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and the parents in Thoman eagerly asked to be part of the training as well. Their commitment to putting their new-found knowledge into practice is apparent. As we follow their success stories and testimonies, know that you are an integral part of their journey.
We understand that generosity isn't just about money; it's about creating a ripple effect of positive change. Each donation, no matter how big or small, contributes to a tapestry of transformation. Let's continue to uplift these pastors, future entrepreneurs, and young minds together.
