2021 Year End Campaign & Giving Tuesday

Updated: Jan 27, 2022

There’s an air of sadness in Haiti that is different than ever before. Haitians have always been joyfully long-suffering when facing their country’s difficulties. Now, there is a soul-crushing fear in the face of unending lawlessness and chaos.

During assassinations, earthquakes, and kidnappings, Haitians look to the churches for hope. With your donations, HCM churches work to distribute food, meet shelter and clothing needs and see to medical care. However, taking care of people’s physical comforts is not our sole purpose. Our pastors and church members have a soul purpose--winning those they serve to Christ. Sharing the love of Jesus is the reason Pastor Prophete started the ministry almost 50 years ago. Can you give to help share Jesus’s love with Haitians every day?

When Phaostin and Licia first started attending Eglise Chretienne de Chapotin, they knew their lives, and relationships were not pleasing to God. Through the teaching of Pastor Dieudon, they knew they wanted to live their lives in a way that was pure and honored God. However, they didn’t have any resources to start their life together.

The church, as a loving community, planned their wedding and bought the supplies they needed to have a ceremony and meal together. Soon after their wedding, they were baptized!

As you consider a year-end gift, will you give to help HCM pastors continue their soul purpose of winning people to Christ?

Funding more than 40 pastor salaries and all the churches’ outreach programs can take approximately $200,000 each year. Yet, less than half of that is given throughout the year in committed support. We’re counting on friends, like you, to help at this time make up the $115,135 needed to reach souls, like Phaostin and Licia, for Christ!

Matthew 22:37-39a tells us how to move forward when facing loss and despair, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ``Love your neighbor as yourself.” As disheartening and unsettling as the recent events in Haiti have been, HCM remains steadfast on the soul purpose of sharing God’s love.

Every gift, small and large, will have a SOUL purpose of helping Haitians! Your financial gifts, love, and encouragement, are helping Haitians love the Lord with heart, soul, and mind. Thank you for your partnership with HCM!

God Bless, Edwens Prophete, CEO
